Which Way Does Money Flow
Have you ever stopped to think about the flow of money? Especially the flow as it pertains to your own financial situation? Most people concentrate on the flow of money out of their bank account, rather than the flow into their bank accounts.
Think of this, how many times when you wanted to buy something big, did you have to stop and think about how you were going to save in order to afford whatever it was the you were going to buy? Although that may be the financially responsible thing to do, wouldn't it be wiser to worry about the money going into the account rather than out of it?
Here is how you might go about changing your attitude towards money and it's flow.
One thing that has always been important to me, is having the things around me that make me happy. I don't need the newest gadget, nor the fanciest car. But what I do like are nice meals, a comfortable how that is well maintained and clean as well as piece of mind that if a major medical situation arises I have the means to take care of it. I should also tell you that I enjoy working for the things that I have.
In the most basic sense I like to live a "Big" life, which at one point in my life meant that I had credit card debt up to my eyeballs because I couldn't really "afford" that Big Life. So, I decided to change the way I thought about money and started to concentrate on the money flowing in, instead of the money rushing out. I just had to learn how to afford the life I felt I needed.
Over the next few posts, we will look at ways to increase your income and make that extra $100 or even $1000 a month doing things you already do. I read all the book on making money online, which nothing really took off. I've tried the affiliate marketing thing, and it ended up costing me more money than it was worth. Nothing really clicked until I started using the skills I already had, skills my employer was paying me to develop, and used them in the free market in my spare time. There will be some sacrifices, but mostly it's just a little elbow grease and some leg work to get you earning money right away.
As always please leave us your comments as to whether or not you've found success making extra money either online or off and what you're doing with that extra income today.
