Fire your Boss!

More Bookings More Leads

The best part about Monday is that we have Friday to look forward too. Although this year, I've decided to take a different approach to Monday, and use it as a catapult my sales for the week. Apparently that's been a good thing, as today I was able to book two more orders.

The reason i say book orders, is because all I did was sell something. I didn't actually create anything, nor did I expend any energy beyond picking up the phone, making a call, and then sending out an email. Really that's all I did, but it was well worth the effort.

I'm starting to realize why sales are so important, and why it takes so long to make one. Sales is not an easy process, although at the same time it's not the hardest job in the world either. I think the hardest part about sales is getting the contact information of someone to talk to. Today, that seemed to change for me. I actually had two orders come to me without any advertising, they were completely "Word Of Mouth".

Selling by word of mouth, or as I like to say, reputation selling, is the biggest compliment a customer can give you. Today, I had two of them. One for an order of T-Shirts and a second for me to do some consulting. Both of these orders were brought to me because they knew I'd get the job done and I apparently haven't priced myself out of the market.

Getting more people in my Rolodex to call upon and more people to help spread my name around is a really good thing for business. With that also comes some added pressure. Each and every referral means more business from someone who put their reputation on the line to help me out. That's a lot of pressure, and something I don't take lightly. The good thing is that I'm prepared for that and welcome the challenge.

So no more Monday's are the worse jokes, start Monday off right and get some sales for your to work on the rest of the week.
