We Are Off To A Great Start
Yestday 1/1/2010 started out better than expected. Yes, we actually had a sale the first day of the year. This is great news for a couple of reasons.
- I have validated that eBay works and people actually buy things from there.
- We made money, it's getting us closer to that six figure amount we want by the end of the year.
- Momentum is huge, and this definitely gives us something to look forward too.
So it's great to start off with such a positive begging to the new year. But we can't stop there.
It would appear to me that putting more items in my eBay store is a great way to get more exposure. I have the machines and tools to do more, so I might as well. Today I think I'll add some decals to the site that I make for putting on cars.
One really important aspect of putting things on eBay, especially in a store, is that there needs to be another place these shoppers can go, where I as the seller won't get charged with all the eBay fees. It's also a place where I can offer other things besides what people see on eBay.
Today I will also start recording each and every transaction I have for my side business. You know the accounting stuff, so that I can see where the money is coming from, and more importantly where it's going. I want to run a pretty tight ship, especially since I'm only starting with $500 of seed money. Heck, I'm not even sure I'd call $500 seed money, it's more like enough money to get a website and a few products, and that's about it. So expenses will be tracked very closely.
