A Little History
In order to give this website a little credibility, I thought I might give you a brief history of why I created it. I, probably not to much unlike yourself, was frustrated with my current working situation and acquired some pretty hefty debt living a life that I couldn't cover with my paychecks. Even with two adults working, me full-time, and my wife part-time, it became increasingly difficult to pay off credit cards and business loans. I, with the help of nobody else, had gotten my family into a terrible mess, and it was up to me to get us out of it.
I had run some small e-commerce stores on the internet, each of which was successful to some degree. I had tried the affiliate marketing approach with various levels of success, and even niche type of blogs. All of these had the ability to make money, however none of them were bringing in enough money to justify the effort and hours I was putting in behind the scenes.
The problem with owning your own online store is that you have to have a product to sell. In order to sell a product, someone needs to purchase that product, store it, and ship it. I found myself constantly replying back to email, discussing product features, bartering on price, and even taking phone orders as early as 4:00 am. Yes I was making money, while still working my 9 to 5 job, but I was tired. There had to be another way to make extra money, yet provide something that's completely useful.
One day I was having lunch with my father, who's retired and living a life that I could only dream of, and he brought up what I considered a terribly stupid idea. He said to me:
Why don't you write your own book and what you've learned
I laughed at my poor dad, thinking that he's obviously had far to much sun while playing countless rounds of golf. I may have laughed, but the idea stayed in my mind for a very long time. In fact it actually kept me up at night thinking that he may actually be right. I had read about other people making money online selling "How To" books, but I had always thought they were a scam. So I started to research the subject a little more and one thing lead to another and I put all the pieces together and started writing my first book.
My first book was for the most part successful, but there were so many things I did wrong that it figured others were making the same mistakes. So this is where we are today. I'm going to share with you the ways I've been successful at generating a nice little income for myself, while still working my day job. My goal is to one day be successful enough online to where I no longer need a boss (besides my wife. Hi Honey! ), and I feel that I'm almost there.
This website is intended to be a NO BS forum. I'm not going to give you any BS, so I don't expect it from you. If you have questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you. Send me your questions or post the publicly, whatever you comfort level is fine with me, the most important part is creating the relationship. I will be adding a section to the site that will detail my earnings, and of course those pesky expenses.
