eHow a paid How To site
So I've been reading some blogs about how people are starting to make some extra cash with a site called "eHow". So today I'd thought I'd make an attempt of figure out what it's all about, and report on here what my findings are.
When I first went to the site, it appeared to be something that I would use, more than I would contribute to. However after searching the site for some content that I felt I knew something about, it dawned on me that some of the content really isn't that good. In addition to that, some of the content was old and out of date. So at first glance I think there might be some opportunity here.
eHow.com is really one of those sites that takes some getting use to in order to use it. The sign up process is pretty easy and straight forward. Even signing up to generate income off of your postings seems pretty easy. The part that seems very difficult is writing a "How To" about something.
I have stared at the screen for about an hour now and I've had too many thoughts race through my mind as I keep typing and then erasing. So instead of wasting my time online, I decided to take out my trusted notebook and started making notes about how I perform a particular task. I noticed when I left the computer and curled up with a notebook that my writing started to flow again. For now on I believe I'll hand write something first, then put it into electronic form. It just seemed to flow a little bit better for me.
I'll track my performance on the eHows that I write and we'll see if this is truly worth my time or not.
