Let's Setup Shop

The first thing that I needed to do was setup shop and spread the word of my findings. Which basically translates into "I'm setting up my website so you have something to read". There are many ways to get something up and going, I happened to choose a custom solution because I have a background in web development. However, this kind of solution isn't for everyone as getting bogged down with technical details can really be a pain when you just want something to work for you fast.

Luckily for those of you whom don't want to mess with the technical aspects, there are better ways of getting your message out. By now, everyone and their brother has heard of blogs or blogging. It's become the latest and easiest way for people to spread the word about what's on their minds. The platform that I think is the best, and the most inexpensive, is "Blogger".

Let's Get The Show On The Road

Now that we are fully acquainted with what we are going to do here, I think it's time we get going. Basically I'm going to go through the process I used to start building residual income from my blog. I want to prove to you that anyone, and I mean anyone can create something that you can get paid on while your sleeping. I know that sounds like a fairy tail, and for some it is, but it's possible because it happens for me every day.

I learned long ago, but not before it was too late, that working for someone else is not going to make you rich. It will make someone rich, but chances are it's not going to be you. I needed to stop trading dollars for hours and build something for myself that will pay me for my hard work.

It's an eBay Thing

As I've mentioned here before, my goal is to become financially secure while working for myself and not some company. I've also talked about streams of income and I believe that multiple streams is essential to creating wealth. As I was thinking about my streams the other day, it occurred to me that one of the ways that I've always been successful, is by selling products on eBay. Yup the website that's got everything already built into it, and the most important aspect of all ... VISITORS.

You can't beat the traffic eBay can bring you if you stock your shelves right. Which is why I'm going to concentrate for the rest of this month on getting my eBay business primed and ready for the holidays. The big shopping is right around the corner and I want to be ready for it.

A New Outlook for 2010

Lets put 2009 behind us, and move on to 2010. I don't have anything against 2009, it was a pretty good year for me personally, but I'm going to make 2010 even better. Now is that time when I look back at the current year and pull out all the achievements and failures. And this year there were plenty of both.

Looking back and learning from the past is important, however moving forward and planing for the future is even more important. That's why starting today, my goal as well as the content for this blog is changing. There is going to be only one theme, and that's "BECOME MY OWN BOSS".

No more working for the man. Nope, I'm going to put every effort into my other ventures and see if I can sustain my lifestyle without a "real" job. Here's how I plan to do it.

We Are Off To A Great Start

Yestday 1/1/2010 started out better than expected. Yes, we actually had a sale the first day of the year. This is great news for a couple of reasons.

So it's great to start off with such a positive begging to the new year. But we can't stop there.

New Year New Motivation

The new year is here, the parties have past and the bills have started to arrive. If you aren't motivated by this point, then you might want to check your pulse to see if you are alive or not. I can say for sure that I'm more motivated than ever to make this year a success and hit the ground running in 2011.

In order to do so I needed to get a bunch of things in order, and I have decided to take a different approach than I had taken in years past. Although I can't say that I've been unsuccessful in the past, I feel there is room for improvement, and heck, change is good right.

This time around I've put down the goals for 2011 and spoke about how I have "initially" thought to achieve them.
